On Monday, May 5, over 20 staff members of Shane Homes volunteered their time to Heritage Park Historical Village. The project was to repaint the exterior of The Trader’s Bank, making sure to keep the same historical feel. Ron Heggs, Director of Special Projects for Shane Homes and one of the organizers for this event says, “It was very important to keep the building looking authentic. To keep the look of the era the building was from we used the paint and colour that was used during this period of time.”
Shane Wenzel, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing also donned a white suit and paint brush to take part in the event. “I’m really happy that we were able to help out the park in this way. It was a lot of work, but I think everyone involved felt a lot of pride in being able to help out. In comparing the before and after photos, you could really see what a huge improvement the painting made.” This project was also made possible with generous donations from Second Look Painting and General Paint. Shane Homes will be painting The Enterprise Livery Stable this fall.
