On September 27, 2022, Cal Wenzel, Chairman and CVO of the Shane Homes Group of Companies was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal, by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, Salma Lakhani, upon the nomination of Premier Jason Kenney. 

The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal is awarded to Albertans in recognition of their significant contributions to the Province of Alberta. Cal was in the company of 47 Albertans being honoured for their significant contributions and achievements at the ceremony. 

Of being awarded the medal, Cal Wenzel said, “I was surprised and honoured to be recognized along with such a prestigious group of Albertans. It was a particular honour to receive the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal on her 70^th anniversary of dedication to people from her throne. Thank you to Premier Jason Kenney for including me in this celebration.”
