Shane Homes held our 21st annual golf tournament at Heritage Pointe Golf Course on Thursday, July 28th and a fantastic day was had by all!

Our annual golf tournament provides a chance to invite our long term trades and suppliers, partners, and all of our staff to a fun filled day to show our appreciation for everyone’s commitment, hard work, dedication and support.  Plus we also raise funds for the Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation.

Our highlights of the day in random order:

Special guest, Lisa Longball, 7 time Canadian Long Drive Champion who drove for each of our guests and provided personalized tips to each golfer when they were on her hole.

The Captain Dave’s Pirate Hole with special guest, Mason Raymond, previously of the Calgary Flames and now with the Anaheim Ducks, and an opportunity to use either Mason’s or Dave Rickett’s longest drive for a small donation to charity, refreshments, food, fun and of course, Captain Morgan!

The Hippie Hole which included a Spin to Win, beverages, lots of laughs and the chance to use a drive from Rhonda or Loran for a small donation which included a chance to win a great prize!

Seeing Cal Wenzel’s playful side at dinner, donning a scarf from the Hippie hole momentarily at dinner!  Which provided an INCREDIBLE photo opp which his son Shane provided to this Social Media gal!  😉

Being able to see all of our guests having a relaxing and fun day and enjoying themselves.  

And last, but not least, one of the most memorable highlights of our day was our guests raising $9343 for charity which was then matched by Shane Homes to bring the total to $18,686 raised for the Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation.

Frank Lindsay was a passionate and avid golfer, a student of the game who believed the rules of golf should be respected.  He was a very very dear friend of Cal Wenzel.

Frank passed away in 2003 and his legacy is the Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation, the focus of which is to create golf programs for young people, particularly those lacking the financial resources to participate in the sport.  Shane Homes is proud to be a long term supporter of the Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation.
