Our annual Shane Homes Golf Tournament at Heritage Pointe Golf Course was a smashing success this year, bringing together staff, colleagues, and vendor partners for a day of fun, camaraderie, and charitable giving.

The tournament featured special themed special themed fundraising holes where golfers enjoyed delicious treats and refreshments at the “Backyard BBQ”, “Camp Shane” and “Tropical Oasis”.

About KidSport

Through the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, we were able to raise over $39,000 for KidSport Calgary. This incredible local grassroots sports charity is dedicated to ensuring that no child is left on the sidelines. KidSport provides registration fee assistance and no-cost equipment to low-income families, making it possible for kids to participate in sports.

The need for KidSport’s services has grown rapidly, with over 6,000 kids receiving support and $2 million distributed in registration fee assistance in Calgary and the surrounding area. The funds raised during our tournament will play a critical role in continuing this support through 2024. Specifically, the $39,000 will help cover registration fees for over 115 kids, giving them a chance to engage in sports, develop their skills, and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.

We are incredibly proud of the community effort that made this event a success. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated, donated, and contributed to making a difference in the lives of so many children. Together, we are helping create opportunities for kids to thrive both on and off the field.
